A cuple of years ago i bought myself an FastAta4000.
It have worked just fine for all these years with a 2.5" IDE HDD installed.
But today i had nothing to do and an Intel SSD drive left over from another PC build.
So why not use the Sata to ide adapter that comes in the package and let my Amiga have a go with the SSD
The problems started right away, WinUAE started acting slow and weird when i connected the SSD with the adapter. Could not even use the save function in HDToolbox without everything freezing.
So i thought it could be the SSD drive itself or some settings i had done so i remvoed the adapter and just ran it with the normal sata cable to my PC and now everhything worked just fine, i paritioned the HDD and transferd all my files to the partitions and it booted up just fine in winuae.
But when i place the HDD in my Amiga connected with the adapter to my FastAta4000 it wont work.
Have any one else experienced problems with Sata adapters? This one was shiped with the product itself so i gues its not some cheap crap?
