Gotek Help
« on: November 11, 2019, 09:52:27 PM »
bought a Gotek. even got the flashy screen on it.
stripped out an old external floppy drive from it's case and installed the gotek in there. i don't want to boot, i don't want to launch games, i just want normal dos floppy ADF images available and switchable between machines.
the gotek is displaying the floppy ADF names when i click through using the buttons, just my amiga4000 is saying "DF2: is not a valid dos disk"

do i need a config file or something on the usb stick?

i tried formatting df2, but it fails "format failure". but there is a new file on the USB stick

What happens if you eject image file. If its been setup with config (as I do), both buttons will eject image.
Tried gotek as DF0: to confirm its all setup right and working?
Is Amiga bootable from DF2/3? Have to say never ever tried booting from DF2 config.
If I recall, you just leave drive as DF0: config, as external drive circuit alteres it to DF1: (in your case DF2:).
