Zune is dead, Kin phone is dead, Windows Mobile is dead. Windows Phone 7 is next.

Microsoft has a good understanding of the enterprise, but they tend to be dodgy when it comes to consumer stuff.

Actually, I read somewhere that WinMo 6.5 outsold WindowsPhone 7 in the last quarter (though in fairness to MS, this is mostly due to enterprise that is very reluctant to buy new, unproven technology.)

Hmm.  Of course, this news wasn't on the Apple Fanboy Network so I'm sure you asshats can't believe it.

That and Windows 7  phones need better advertising plus a few bug fixes.

My LG phone has the "end call" button right where my earlobe rests on the screen and I suspect it has disconnected several of my calls.  The rear speaker seems to have a life of its own at times and a few calls have insisted on using it and refuse to switch to "normal" mode and then I've had lots of incidences of calls refusing to end and I've had to switch the phone off and restart it.  I think enough time has now passed for LG/MS to push an update to the users to fix these issues.

@Darrin

I hope they help you but they have now changed direction and partnered with Nokia screwing all their current Windows Phone 7 partners in the process. Will your phone be updated? Who knows at this point. The current TV Ads in the USA are some of the worst I have ever seen.

Updated info.

The hardware may be dead, but Zune is basically just a front end, and so will doubtless live on on Nokia hardware since they sold their soul to Redmond.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.  I keep checking for updates, but I keep getting "My Phone is up-to-date" with software version 7.0.  :(

I highly doubt this given that Nokia have chosen it as the replacement for symbian on their phones.  No shock there given its an ex mircrosoft walla making these decisions.

Great phone :) Sony getting together with Ericsson was a good move, loved the walkman phone idea.

I'm just guessing but the 1 billion dollars they will be getting from M$ might have also helped them make the decision.

:)

But what about HTC, LG, Dell Etc, they are feeling kind of stupid right now hitching their wagon to WinPhone 7 then Nokia gets an even sweeter deal.

Nah, they've got Android... It probably costs them little to add a Win7phone to their range... :)
