Can I replace Gayle-02 with Gayle-01?
« on: December 01, 2018, 10:10:56 AM »
That's it, I've an A600 with a Furia accelerator and pursuing a little IDE speed-up I'm going to try the Gayle replacement (Furia exploits a bug in Gayle-01 to give faster IDE speeds, Gayle-02 doesn't have such "feature").
I've no problem installing a PLCC socket and swapping ICs; but, is Gayle-01 totally compatible  with Gayle-02?, the pinout seems the same; but I'm not sure about what PCB revisions mount each model (-01/-02) and how can the change affect the Amiga...
