Alien Breed 3D, Breathless and the vast majority of the Amiga games works flawlessly on WinUAE.

Probably a subset of the PPC titles. It's rare finding a MorphOS 3D game that isn't available on another NG platform.

As far as I remember the current developed Quake3 for classic Amigas (WarpOS) is based on MorphOS sources. With G3 powered hardware there was finally a reason why to start working on it. And yes, it is playable and with G4 coming to Classic Amiga, it will be even more enjoyable.

BTW we have also new Hexen2 port for classic Amiga WarpOS:

There's also a 68k build of Quake3 on eab but I suspect it will be a slideshow on anything but winuae.

Quake 3 on a sonnet is fantastic, very playable 15-20fps frame rates with bots even at 640x480. If you dial down the res and the texture quality a little it'll do 2fps which is great.

Latest Quake3WOS Alpha8r2

Thanks! Gave it a try today and to my surprise it starts first time :)

Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with buffering since the screen piles up with garbage quickly. Also I could not start a new game.

But the demo can be started at least. Well, as you can see a lot of textures are missing but the speed is definitely there. Will keep a close eye on this one.

Did you leave in an old q3config.config in the baseq3 folder?

Try reducing the texture quality slider and the geometry detail, maybe the bvision is struggling with only having 8mb ram.

You were so right, the old OS4 config was messing up things here. With that cfg removed, the game runs properly, although its still missing textures. Still have to tweak the settings a bit to make that work.

I have uploaded a new video to reflect the difference. As you can see, it is just about playable this way:
