Amiga games you've recently discovered
« on: January 21, 2024, 02:33:32 PM »
Have any of you played the strategy-game King's Bounty on Amiga? If yes, did or do you enjoy playing it?

I tried it for the first time today, and found it surprisingly fun and interesting! :D Will definitely return to continue my adventure.

Still goes to show that there are many interesting games to discover on the Amiga in 2024.

Have you discovered any "new" Amiga games recently? If yes, which ones?

I discovered Trap Runner for a monthly challenge and I enjoyed it !

I also "re"discovered Deflektor, a good puzzle game.

Nice! :) Which monthly challenge was that? High-score contest?

As for King's Bounty, I experienced the game crashing at random with WHD-Load after a bit of playing. I used the good, old Relokick on floppy to make it Kick 1.3 and ran the game from disk. It has worked steadily since. It has a certain charm running the games directly from floppy. ;D Are you running Trap Runner and Deflector from floppy or HD?

High score contest from this (french) site : http://www.insertdisk2.com/
this month we are competing on GuardianAGA which is a rather non typical shmup.

Usually I playing with the WHDload version since I am using the real hardware (my trusty A1200+Blizzard1260). I never tried King Bounty I guess it is English only right ?

Wizonk, I've just discovered it because it's brand new! Check out the Multiplayer Test Version! It's death match Bubble Bobble but with a twist of Feud!  8)

Thanks for the link! Those competitions look fun! :)

Yes, the game is in English.

Nice! ;D That was a good idea for a multiplayer game.
