I didn't know that Krisalis made a C64 version of that game. There was a game called Face Off on the C64 though, by Gamestar, that was really cool. With NHL teams and trades and strategies and all that we've come to expect from EA's NHL series nowadays.

Ooops!  I take back anything nice I said about Krisalis Face-Off hockey.  Quickly booting up my emulator disks, it was, indeed Gamestar Face-Off hockey that I liked.  (Except for that scary boot picture!)  Hah!  I've had it mislabelled for all these years.  My bad.

As for Amiga hockey turkeys, though, how about the Amiga version of Blades of Steel?  That one left a lot to be desired.

Also, thumbing through my disks, I found a real disappointment from back in the day... The Amiga version of Ray Tobey's SkyFox.  The C64 one was one of my all time favorites, but somehow they managed to make the Amiga one look and play worse!

Hard Drivin':  My favorite arcade game EVER was also the worst port EVER.  Of course, EVERY port of Hard Drivin' sucked!  Test Drive II had better physics, for heaven's sake!

(Don't you be slamin' Test Drive II.  That game was pure addiction).

Stun Runner: This was also a pretty bad conversion.  The arcade version was based on the same arcade hardware as Hard Drivin', so I was naturally biased from the start..  Of course, I soon realized that the arcade version sucked, too, so I shouldn't have expected any more from the home version.

Count Duckula:  I hate games when you stop moving around, the character looks blankly back at you like they have lost their will to live.  Count Dupeula is more like it.  Not so much "bad" as "boring".  I'm glad I never actually bought this one.

Celica GT Rally:  Half the time the damn game wouldn't even boot up on my A1000.  Still, I had fun playing it because it was still challenging.  But, looking back, I think I was just braindead.

Titus the Fox:  Great mascott, crap game.  I'm surprised Titus Software is still alive and making more crap games.

All Dogs Go To Heaven:  In the category of cartoon lisences, this was the worst.  Long load times were accompanied by pointless "dodge the bad guy" anticts.  The programming was so bad, the characters flickered like crazy as they "moved" across the screen.  Truly awful.

Second place awarded to Oliver and Company.  Pioneers in animation produce flickering frames on the computer.  Both Bluth and Disney did crap edutainment, even before the industry really took off on the PC or Mac.  Ouch.

Shadow of the Beast 2

Game was friggin' impossible without god codes.
Worse than that, you needed the god code within the first 10 minutes of gameplay or else you died.  Then if you made a mistake and went somewhere that you were supposed to die, you had to reboot the machine and reload and start all over.

Akira was pretty bad too.

Hey!
Why is everyone slamming Titus so bad?!? I loved "To Marakeech and back"! I'd still play it if my brother hadn't wrecked the floppy... :-)

I don't know what they were thinking when they released Luxor. After 7 tries, I could finish it in 15 minutes. You were a man in a space suit, walking accross a moon like surface, left to right, accros 10 screens or so, that pretty much looked the same. I mean, it looked okay, had good collision detection, just should have been on a disk with more games on it. Maybe it was for kids, but still.

Amiga! Aaahhh, the good old days, running into a computer games store...

So I guess that A500, 600, 1000, 2000, CDTV, CD32, are pure garbage then? Thanks for posting here.

Ooops I made a mistake too. I got Face-Off mixed up with Blades of Steel. Blades of Steel is the one I liked.

Funny thing. Sometimes you really think a certain game was really great but then after a long time you have a look at it and it's not as good as you had in mind.

That's why, I wouldn't part with the worst game I have and keep hunting for more. I may love a game. Later realize it was terrible, then maybe I'll do a 180 degree turn, or the heck with it, just for nostalgia and a good laugh, crave it again. Even though I don't like a game, I appreciate that someone has put in effort (or not), and used his mind (or not) and produced something he thought would interest people.

I'm an anti-piracy person, even for the worst programs, because I have written programs, and it IS work.

Only Amiga makes it easy for the average person to participate in the joy and wonder that computing is/should be!!!!!

Amiga! Unleash a geyser of creativity!

Hoya!

Does anyone remember Chicago 90 by Microïds??? :-D

Boy, although the gfx and sfx were utter rubbish, I recall having a very nice time playing it! :D

BTW, did anybody pass through the first two levels of Alien Breed 2 WITHOUT using any cheat mode??? If not, I will agree that AB2 was crap...

hmm...

There is a lot of bad games for Amiga, but for some reason, lots of people have been playing them.. and they call themselves braindead :)

Well, I think that atleast 3000 of all arround 10000 porn games for A500 was just too bad ;) Then we have Dennis! This is the worst ever Amiga game.. I must say!

Hard Drivin was fun! 3D game on A500... wow! really nice.. and what tracks :) the music and sound didnt give that much.. but hey.. thats old games..

There will allways be good and bad games.. Dennis is my worst game for Amiga for sure!!!

I gave in to the dark side and whacked in some cheat that shows you end sequence on Harlequin.

I got pretty far in that game.

Bad games? I'll get back to you...

Chaos Engine 2 was very poor - especially in comparison to the original. It was in development hell for ages and when it finally limped onto the market it was half-finished, had little to no gameplay and a load of graphics simply recycled from the original game. Such a shame the last Amiga Bitmap Brothers game had to be such a duffer...  :-(

The Adams Family wasn't that bad, quite similar to The Mario Bros gameplay wise.

Odyssey was just about impossible to complete,  and the controls were pretty unresponsive.
