Alien Breed: Projekt Odamex Public BETA 2
« on: July 30, 2013, 05:03:27 AM »
Not for classic as Odamex requires more resources than what our meager little miggy's support, but it will run fine on an MorphOS or AROS machine running at 500Mhz or more with at least 64Mb of spare RAM. Or any other OS supported by Odamex, including the classic XBOX.

Hiya,

I'll have to check this when I get home, blocked at work.

Shame we couldn't do anything for Classics :(

I still have a copy of ZDOOM's source code on my HD for my AGA port (when I get the time).   This wouldn't even be possible in the past but with the new SDL AGA I can give it a try, it won't be the current version of ZDOOM (too demanding) but it would still be cool to see what it can run like on AGA :)

I'll probably go with ZDOOM version 2.3.1 for AGA.

I'd totally crap if ZDOOM ran at all on our classics, especially something as new as 2.3.1. The most I think we could hope for would be a port of ZDOOM 1.3 or if not that, then perhaps PrBOOM, though I'm no coder so I could totally be wrong. Would be a great day if it could be done though, that's for sure! :)

Hope you enjoy the beta, you'll have to let me know what you think.

I just did a re-upload as the start points were off before I uploaded it last night. Woops, sorry. :)
