15 kHz Monitors
« on: November 13, 2002, 12:47:46 PM »
Hi,

anybody knows what monitors are capable of displaying the 15 kHz signal?? If I get myself one of those plus the 23-> VGA adapter (without screendoubler) I should be able to run all games right??
Up till now Im using an EIZO with the DBLNTSC 30 kHz screenmode: great for wb stuff, but most games don't support this screenmode....

Thanks
P

I use a CTX AD-1970 monitor for that kind of thing.  That is not its real model number.  It's a slapped on number because the monitor was modified by some other company to lower its sync rate capabilities down to 15 KHz.  It can handle all Amiga modes, and the controls on the front have enough adjustment in them so that none of the modes suffer from the "black borders" problem that others do, like the Commodore multisyncs.
