It can be, when people don't include any documentation. It's like "Look! Here's a program! Oh, you wanted a human-readable instruction manual, or maybe some description about WHAT THIS PROGRAM ACTUALLY DOES? Yeah, sorry, nope."

Exactly. I got used to "installing" software by dropping icon into Application folder... installing most of Amiga software is a nightmare when you compare.
Oooo... There is "install" icon... lets click on it... "Folder this files are going to be copied is NOT going to be created". WTF. Where would you like to copy files "xfydgy.flx"? WTF2. "Handler" files will be copied to... Please select folder. WTF3...
So, AmigaStore creates some sort of standard how program SHOULD be delivered and I see this as a positive thing.
PS. Without Aminet... there is no Amiga.
