Amiga 500 to 1084S-P1 VGA Cable Schematics

Looking for a diagram of VGA cable to use with my A500 and 1080S-P1. I am confused with goggle search results. I found three different cables. Which is the correct one?

First i found a diagram with 2 caps.


Then the same diagram without caps.


Then the third one which is completely different


Maybe I should find Anemos.

The second picture in the middle is correct. Not sure why the first has caps but i have not run into a cable with caps. the third is wrong since it combined the grounds. they are separate for a reason.

i thought the 1084s-p1 used a round din on the monitor side btw?

Looks like the P1 used the D-sub connector. AFAIK there are still places that sell that cable new?  Have you tried ebay?

I think i will go with the second diagram but I still wonder why there are caps in the first one?

Oldsmobile_Mike you are correct mine has D-sub connector. I already have the original cable. But I'm building an arcade cabinet with Amiga 500 inside and the original cable is not flexible enough to fit in.

Do you mean there is no harm in putting two not so necessary caps? Would I get only a better cable with noise filtered sync signals?

Those capacitors are no filters, they just prevent the loss of the signal if refresh don't come timely.
You might encounter some flicker without caps.

Third picture isn't completely different, it's just mirrored horizontally and ground signals are painted black. It's same as #2 built for 1984s-D which can sync on composite signal. Thats what green is used for.

Would your original cable work coupled with a straight-through 9-pin extension cable?  Just a thought, probably still better to make your own.  I recall someone selling 23-pin connectors a while back on ebay, or you could get a 25-pin parallel port one and lop the end off.  But you probably know that already.

Just an update. I built the third cable and it is working perfectly. As I couldn't find dsub-23 for a reasonable price. I've bought dsub-25 and cut off 2 pins.
