Title: SkyTerm
Post by: Gary McCulloch on August 14, 2010, 11:31:17 AM
I am looking for a classic terminal program called SkyTerm.  Its used to view BBSes that use SkyPix.  Also, if anyone has any SkyPix sitting around, please share them.

@SpitfireTN

i would also like to see this. i already have the BBS  program but would of course like the terminal. i'm sure plenty of  people still have a copy and it's just a matter of time before someone  replies to this. here's a couple of nice links which mention Skyline: http://bustopher.blogspot.com/2010/06/newcastle-bbs-history.html (http://bustopher.blogspot.com/2010/06/newcastle-bbs-history.html)  & http://www.bbsdocumentary.com/software/expanded.html. (http://www.bbsdocumentary.com/software/expanded.html.)  i've just remembered some amiga ascii people, let me show them this  thread...

Toronto PET User's Group has a copy of it in their disk library (Disk (A)TAY - April 89).

If you can't find a copy anywhere else, they can sell you a copy of the disk for a few bucks to cover the cost of copying and mailing it to you.

Any chance you could get Skyterm online for download, Mongo?
Would love to put this up on my BBS for users to grab.

That would be nice.  I am strapped and thought I had the extra cash to grab it.

This would be awesome if you could put it up on a cloud someplace for us.

Doesn't JR-COMM handle SkyPix?

JR-COMM was my go to terminal program back in the day. I do think the later version did SkyPix, yes.

It's still my go-to term program too (my CDTV is connected as a console for my Raspberry Pi).  Never got to see any SkyPix.

I was fortunate enough to find SkyChess, a Skypix chess game for CNet BBS.  I have it now up and running.  Looks good using CNet to play.
