8 bit hardware
« on: January 23, 2015, 11:49:31 PM »
I just bought a kit to build a Final Cartridge III+ from a lady (SkydivinGirl) on AmiBay and Lemon 64. What a neat kit. It has all the parts needed, down to the last resistor, and Pre-Programmed Eprom, everything but the case.
I can imagine this project ws fun for her, and I am enjoying putting this little devil together. Damned neat kit!
A2000 GVP 40MHz \'030, 21Mb RAM SD/FF, 2 floppies, internal CD-ROM drive, micromys v3 w/laser mouse

Is the Final Cartridge III+ functionally the same as the original FC3?  Or are there added/improved features?

Owning one or two of the originals,

I think that the thread at lemon 64 pretty much covers it. Heather may go into more detail over on amibay, but I think things are about the same.
But, Robert - there are new options, depending on the ROM chosen. I ended up with two different ROMs with different utilities. (These are actually EPROMs or EEPROMs ?)
