Hi,
I have got WinUAE working, that is it shows the purple boot screen.
I have connected my old amiga hd to the pc and would like to use that to boot from. Is this possible and how can it be done?
Cheers

Well if your using the latest version ther is an option to add a hard drive the the "hard drive" tab. I havent tried it myself yet, but plan to put an IDE drive in my amiga and do a basic 3.9 install them move it over to UAE and add all the rest of the cool stuff like P96 to see how it works. I cant seem to get my 3.9 cd to install over the AIAB install I have now on the latest WinUAE.

WHat's the newest version?
I have 8.22 release 1

Cool. Just loaded WB from my old harddrive although I am getting an error as cacheCDFS cannot find device unit 2...
Any ideas?

Actual amiga formatted HD functionality was only introduced in Version 8.22 R3.

Try mounting it as unit 0, its not scsi so there is no unit 2 on a PC. Thats what I do for my cd rom on UAE.

Try with uaescsi.device and the unit 0

Is that with normal WB HDtoolKit or is that a specific WinUAE app?
