Video Toaster 4000 question
« on: October 02, 2011, 09:51:42 PM »
Hi,
I started playing with my Toaster 4000 setup like this....
Camera plugged into input #1
1084 on the Amiga monitor port
1802 video monitor plugged into "Preview"
When I start the Toaster I see the switcher screen on the 1084, but also on the 1802 overlayed on top of the camera image. If I switch to "Program" output the switcher screen no longer shows up (on the 1802) and I can get Kiki to jump across the screen. Am I doing something wrong or does that sound like hardware failure?

On page T3 of the manual step 3 it states "use teh "two Monitor setting" at the toaster prefs...

not a hardware problem, Just read tutorial #1 page T3

If you push the "Help" button, the switcher screen will toggle on and off the preview monitor. If you select "3"(Blank Background, keyboard shortcut is "7") as your backgound, you will get the switcher with no image overlay on preview. It's worth learning the keyboard shortcuts for the Toaster. It makes it much easier and faster to use.
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

Thanks for the help guys. It was an operator stupidity problem. When I pushed "Help" my problem went away (kind of ironic :-).
