A-EON Technology Ltd (http://www.a-eon.com) is pleased to announce that the new Enhancer Software (http://wiki.amiga.org/enhancersoftware) has been released on AMIStore (http://www.amistore.net) App Store for OS 4.  The Enhancer Software is a collection of utilities, commodities, classes, datatypes and libraries with the aim of enhancing the AmigaOS experience.   It is the result of about nine months worth of hard work by the AmigaDeveloper.com Team.

The Enhancer Software contains the debut pre-release version of Warp3D Nova and there will be free updates for Enhancer Software users as Nova gets updated over the coming months.

X-Dock (http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=X-Dock) is a new feature rich docking system.  It makes it's public debut on the Enhancer Software.

MultiEdit is a new tabbed text editor included in the package with many other features.

Multiviewer, the datatype viewer gets an upgrade to version 2.2, adding new features such as image thumbnails and much more.

Ringhio Notifications has had many internal updates over the last few months to bring it to version 53.53.  It now features notification sound, colourwheel support, individual app configuration plus lots of bug fixes over the old version bundled in OS4.

TuneNet (http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=TuneNet) has been updated as a result of user feedback and requests.  The new version is exclusively included.

ClipViewer (http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=ClipViewer) also makes it's debut.  This is a new Clipboard manager which has integration with other applications in the Enhancer Software.

Exchanger (http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=Exchanger) is a new commodity and application manager which gives external control of running applications and commodities, including:  showing or hiding the program GUI, shutting the program down, displaying the Workbench information requester for the particular program, enabling and disabling commodities.

The Enhancer Software package is available to purchase as two versions. A Standard edition containing the RadeonHD v1 driver and the CANDI Special Edition with four animated Workbench backgrounds, and a Plus Edition which includes the RadeonHD v2 driver with composite video support together with the full CANDI package.

Many of the applications on the Enhancer Software use the new gadgets and classes that have been written from the ground up to give extra functionality to the apps they serve.  InfoWindow Class provides a better way of displaying Information and About windows and is utilised with most applications in the Enhancer Software.  Similarly, the new Shared Image Class is used by MultiViewer and ClipViewer.

We are also pleased to have licenced Joerg Strohmayer's Amiga software for the Enhancer Software including SmartFileSystem (http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=SmartFileSystem), AmiDVD, PartitioWizard and DiskCache Library.

Looks a good set of utilities, with some clear improvements over the stock OS counterparts, but why not just make this an official update? In other words, Ringhio, SFS, and some other things are getting updates in this package, so why are Multiviewer and Exchanger new programs instead of full replacements/updates to Multiview and Exchange?

How're you coming along on Multiviewer for classic systems?  *nudge nudge*  ;)

Excellent news! However, I've just tried to purchase, and I only get the option to purchase with an existing PayPal account (which I don't have) or to pay by creating a new one (which I don't want). How do I get to pay without needing a PayPal account?
Steve

@SteveH

AMIStore credit card support will be arriving in about a month, however maybe the boxed edition will be something you would consider as we offer credit card facilities through the store?  Boxed edition will be released shortly (within a week or two)

Does the license include the source too for these software for future development?

@amigakit

Eh, one minor small glitch.. AmiStore did not update the "cache" when I started, it said TBA on this item... But after pressing the "Reload" button on the item page the TBA went away, as supposed, so everything is OK now and I have it in my Shopping Bag now, great :)

EDIT:

Purchase done!

@amigakit

I got a bug on AmiStore, it dead-locked. There was a "tile"-image missing, the one just before Enhancer Software. So I clicked it anyway, and AmiStore opened the item/product window showing nothing. And now the close button is inactive on the item/product page itself, also the AmiStore window close gadget is inactive.

My system: AmigaOS 4 (http://www.amigaos.net).1 FE on Sam440ep-flex/800MHz/1GB RAM/Radeon 9250.

How do I get to pay without needing a PayPal account?
Steve

I've now noticed that AmiStore checkout gives the option to purchase via a PayPal "Check out as a Guest" option ... however, when you click that link, it still only gives me the option of paying by PayPal or creating a PayPal account.
Is the "Check out as a Guest" button meant to appear and, if so, why isn't it working?
I'm itching to spend my money with AmiStore! :)
