Title: A3000D board for whoever wants to trade.
Post by: kd7ota on November 03, 2002, 01:11:35 AM
Hello,
I have this A3000D board sitting in my closet.  I will trade it for a socket-a CPU.  The last time I have tested it, it worked, but its there now and I have not way of testing it.  It also has the daughterboard to it and some type of dual serial card.I have his Asus board and I need any kind of CPU to test to see if it works.  I perferably want someone who lives within the US so it keeps the shipping charges low.  ;-)

Thanks!

Forgive my ignorance, but what's a socket-a cpu?  Got a bunch of stuff around here, maybe I can help you out.

@artman

Here are some samples of a Socket A (http://www.pricewatch.com/1/3/2478-1.htm) type CPU.

Or you can just go to PriceWatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) and click on the CPU link and view them all.

They range generaly from the AMD Athlon 900 on up.  Plus the Duron's.

Any Socket-A cpu will do. I just want something faster then this ghetto 400mhz AMD!  :-)

@kd7ota

AMD Duron 800 (http://www.pricewatch.com/1/3/2675-1.htm) for $30 including shipping.

What Asus MB is it... you may want to check to see what CPU's it supports.  You may not be able to use the Duron's or the T-Birds with their 200Mhz FSB's.

Well more than twice as fast as that AMD (I'm guessing K6) 400Mhz proc. you currently have.

BTW: I have used companies listed on pricewatch.com MANY times and have never had any problems with any of them.

Ok,
I think I have bought a motherboard and a 1.2ghz athlon for a good price.  I still need to somehow get rid of this a3000d board!  ;-)

I could use one if it's cheap enough or if I have something you need. First off check my auctions see if there is anything you like(highly unlikely), then just let me know what you need. I have buttloads of printers, scanners, old parts PC/Amiga whatever.
