When Apple release the iBox games console
« on: January 02, 2011, 11:32:03 PM »
People wont buy games for it, they will rent them.

Sony will stop releasing consoles, and pull a Sega.

People will complain a lot about the whole thing.

I will look on with bemusement.

Actually the games will all be played in The Cloud, the iBox will just be a dumb terminal type decoder that connects to a TV.

They'd probably even make money on the hardware.

Roku box is better than the Boxee box :)

Apple won't ever do another strictly console type system again, esp. not with the success of iOS, which does games very well.

It seems more likely to me that the Apple TV will get an App Store, since it now runs iOS.
