Amiga emulators for amigas?
« on: January 10, 2003, 12:18:10 AM »
This is going to come of silly but I'll try to make sense. Are there any Amiga emulators that run on the Amiga? One reason I'd hope so is WinUAE can be turned into any new or old Amiga depending on which game you want to play. When I got my A1200, I was very disapointed to see how many games I loved on my A2000 not working on my new machine. But what I'm REALLY wondering is this... is there anything for the Amiga that runs .adf files. Think about it. Any Amiga game on my PC is on my hard drive. But most of those only work from floppy on the Amiga. Get my meaning?

If you were to network the two computers...
parallel, serial, even usb!
Alternativly use a zip drive(or removable HD) to MOVE .adf files .

There are lots of differant programs  to read .ADF files. :-D

I'm not quite sure you understood. Or you understood me perfectly and I didn't understand you. I don't know you, but my experience with me shows that I can be a little dense. hehehe.

ANYWAY, I'm not necessarily trying to link two computers up. I have an Amiga and I have a bunch of floppies and I have a program to save any floppy to an .adf file. And I can save that .adf file to a hard disk or anything else no problem. It's just that I got to thinking, HEY... my Amiga emulator runs these floppy only files off a hard disk. It just THINKS it's a floppy. With my real true honest Amiga 1200, I CANNOT use an .adf file straight off the Amy's hard disk?! If that's what you meant by there being many .adf readers, then Please please please pretty please name one or two good ones. The wonder just struck me a couple days ago and I haven't had any luck finding such an animal.
 Thanks!
