Cheapest Compact Flash Card Resller in UK
« on: December 02, 2004, 03:29:00 PM »
I've just bought my Dad a DV Camcorder for Christmas and it only came with a tiny 32MB CF Card.

It can take up to a 512MB CF card so I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a cheap UK dealer who sells them.

Cheers.

But...  I got a super cheap 256MB CF card last year, I thought it was a bargin because the ones up the road cost more.

What I didn't know was it is also the slowest CF card on the planet...

I found one at £30.98 inc VAT (Dabs)
£38.98 will get a 20X card.

Google should find a heap of suppliers, try this:

cf uk 512 MB COMPACT FLASH

Amazon.xo.uk seem to be pretty good for CF cards - for a DV cam you might well want the hi-speed variety.

I really wouldn't reccoemnd Dabs at all.
Cheers,

Olly

I got one of these:

http://www.digiprintuk.com/product.asp?ProductID=754&ProductName=Fuji-Film-x40-Compact-Flash-Card-Ultra-Speed-512MB

They sent it out very quickly, and it works fine. I don't know how much it was back then, but I think the price has gone down, because my card plus postage was £54.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I settled on this one from ebuyer as it's a 40x CF Card and delivery was free, the others were slightly cheaper until you add delivery and they were slower cards.
