Anyone playing/playes Settlers 2 10th Anniversary?
« on: November 28, 2010, 09:17:24 PM »
I've been playing this game recently and have an annoying situation where I finish lever 8 but it won't then let me select level 9. Has anyone got any experience of this and if so, how did you fix it? Great game, but annoying at this moment in time.

Thanks,
Amiga 4000, Warp Engine 040/40MHz, CV643D with scan doubler module, Tocatta soundcard, Deneb, 72Meg fast ram, 18 gig scsi hard drive.

Here's a patch on Ubisoft's website for Settlers II. Not sure if it addresses your particular problem with the game though. Maybe give it a try....

Thanks for that, will give it a try.

Edit: Looks like this is for the original release back in the 90s and not the 10th Anniversary edition.

I have played Settlers 2 10 anniversary edition a lot, its a great game but it does seem to be a little slap dash in places, as if when porting it over to a 3D engine they left in all the old inflexibilities.

I havent played the missions to the extent you have, so i cant really help, however there are several patches for the 10th anniversary edition out there this site has a list:

I just misread the title as "210th Anniversary". For an awful moment, I thought I'd fallen through a wormhole into the future.

Thanks, I'll try those patches. Failing that I'll just play it on quick skirmish missions.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Karlos,
