9 PIN USB mouse adapter
« on: February 07, 2020, 02:50:52 AM »
Hello all. Just a quick one. I bought this item https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-Amiga-Atari-USB-to-9-pin-Mouse-Adapter-A500-A600-A1200-A4000-etc/193294570258?hash=item2d01411312:g:d1UAAOSw6SNd7QqI

Been busy and just received it today. I just want to confirm that my logitech g5 is not expected to work with this device and that I should buy something like the Microsoft Optical USB 1.1 ps2 mouse. Thanks.

This item is actually a PS/2-Amiga adapter with an USB socket soldered to it.

So what you need is a mouse with an USB plug which speaks PS/2.

As the description mentions many USB mice still also speak PS/2 but also many don't. You never know until you tried it out.

You can be quite sure that the mouse works if it comes with such a little green USB-PS/2-adapter.

Thanks for the reply.

I just bought a Microsoft Optical USB 1.1 ps2 mouse. But I would also like to buy one of these http://amigakit.amiga.store/product_info.php?products_id=1329. I hope this will work.

Cheers.
