replaced the fuses
« on: August 10, 2005, 05:34:01 PM »
I've replaced the fuses with glass ones because I couldn't find picofuses anywhere near:

looks a bit ugly, its just a temporary solution until picofuses arrive. Important thing is that A520 RF modulator now WORKS on A2000 and external FDD, too.  :-)

BTW, there should be no other problem with using glass fuses other than fitting them, right?
Better sorry than worry.

You should be OK with the glass fuses.. it's just an appearance matter. Personally, I never understood why they put 4A fuses in there, when the ports are rated at less than 200mA. It's good they're in there though. I've seen rev 4 motherboards vaporize those traces. (no fuses!)

Well I think they look pretty cool anyway.

Besides, is anybody going to see the insides- how often do you use your Amiga, topless?

@orange Please check what they have done (maybe my uncle many years ago) with F1 and F5, soldered a wire on fuses

What's the exact specification of that fuse to buy? 4A pico fuse like this?
