Title: Changing hostname in AmigaOS 4.1 Update 6
Post by: hishamk on July 11, 2014, 09:45:16 AM
I've tried changing the 'Name' under 'Hosts' in Internet Preferences as well as adding an id =whatevername field to DEVS:/NetInterfaces/VIA-RHINE. It's still stuck as 'localhost'.

If it sheds more light, it's also unable to resolve hostnames of other machines such as 'mymacmini.local', says they're unknown.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Check Devs/Internet/Hosts.

# DEVS:Internet/hosts
# File generated by Internet 53.2 (27.9.2009)
# On Thursday, 10-Jul-14 at 18:46:16
127.1           pegatron        pegatron

It shows the hostname I set in Internet Prefs.
