SUM 1200 USB Keyboard Adapter
« on: December 13, 2019, 09:43:15 PM »
Hi amiga friends,

I did buy the SUM 1200 USB Keyboard Adapter for A1200 and connected a dell keyboard, some keys did not work on the amiga (it does on the pc) , then i connected a microsoft keyboard, the very same keys did not work. I wonder if only a certain type/brand is supported, can you guys/girls enlighten me on this ?

The SUM is terrible to be honest. Has weird problems with games like doom. Better use a different keyboard adapter.

this problem is getting more stranger now,i did boot up with the install disk, then all the keys work perfect ! THen i instaled wb 3.1.4 again, with only the us keymap installed, no keymap and british keymap, all resulted in the same letters not working. I tried to find out what keymap the install disk is using, but i can't find it anywhere.I tested the link froim duga, ,but if i press right shift and pauze, there appears a fast search menu

also booting up with install 3.1 disk, the keyboard works fine. this means it is a sofware problem, and as i tried no additional keymap, the american keymap and the british one, i have run out of options. This seems to be a @(#*@( in wb 3.1.4, very frustrating, i thought i was moving forward by installing the latest. I am going to install wb 3.1 again, see if that works, if not, imight as well step over to winaue and sell the hardware, this is riddicilous.
