Is my Picasso taking up the 2MB space and not allowing Oktagon to take the full space ...
Precisely. That is 2MB video RAM, and this needs to sit, of course, somewhere.

It is in C:

And in your floppies it should be on the "Extras" floppy, also in C:

Wild guess: Maybe the doctor needs to know who the patient is (i.e. device name)?

Best regards,

Niels

@klx300r

Niels is right, you need to specify action and device name.

An example to diagnose DH0:

DiskDoctor examine DH0:

Remember that as most commands, using ? as arguments will give you all option/switches.

Huh? DiskDoctor is for disks and harddisk partitions all alike, just provided that they are formatted with the FFS.

hmm I was thinking of the original not the new one with OS3.14....anyhow trying the 'new' DiskDoctor on an FFS SD card 2GB partition that popped up a few checksum errors now..fingers crossed  ;)

I just noticed I lost a few icons on my AmiDock that were there before I installed 3.14 over my OS3.9 using Gulliver's script ? no big deal as I have another partition with only a clean OS3.14 just wonder why the icons disappeared?

This is just a guess due to insufficient information, but the Workbench preferences program has the "No NewIcons" option ticked by default in 3.1.4, and if you happen to have a NewIcon, it will not be displayed. So untick that option, save and reboot your machine and see if they now appear.

If this does not work, please confirm to what program the missing icons were for, so that I can try to help you in narrowing the problem you are having.

thanks for the tips...bit of troubleshooting found the culprit to be a checksum error on the partition where the program was on. Luckily DiskSalv solved the problem for me and after I booted up the icon appeared in my AmiDock again so all good :D

I have AmigaOS 3.1.4 on my A500 with an ACA500+ - fresh install. Any time I try to use the intuition patch so I can move Windows off screen, I get a software error (a guru screen on boot) I have Amiga OS 3.1.4 on my A4000 and it works OK. Has anyone had a problem with the ACA500+ like this? (Amiga 500, rev 6 board, MegaAChip with 2MB - also tried on my Rev 5 A500 with 1 MB CHIP and same results.)
