This is just too increadible, is my piv zorro dma able? And if so how can i know?

I thought that the dma thing was a pci only issue?

No, sorry, this was misleading. The Zorro III slots on this busboard should support all DMA signals, and DMA should work.
The only thing I know up to now is that we have users with Mediator 4000D(i) and failures in DMA, while PIO is running.

The 4000D busboard uses a CPLD to handle DMA signals for all seven slots, while buster provides only 5 DMA channels, so this may be part of the problem.

As long as we don't have such a busboard available for testing I cannot make any conclusions on the real cause of these failures, and I cannot make any attempt to fix this in the DENEB firmware.

Regarding PIV DMA: no, it is a PIO only card.
