Back to my Amiga project....
« on: February 02, 2016, 11:08:29 PM »
6 years ago i decided to have kids and my amiga project got boxed up and stashed away. Ive recently got it all out and been looking about the internet to see whats new on the amiga scene. Its strange because since having kids ive mostly forgotten how to use my amiga. The kids have mind wiped me lol. Since putting the amiga into storage my harddrives have decided to give up :-( so ive got to start from scratch, back to amiga school i go.

I think i will put in a CF to ide or can anyone reccomend something else?

I think i also need to sell off some stuff or possibly all of it depending on time and frustration.

I would go with CF and any CF/IDE interface. I use 8GB Kingstone on my FastATA MKII (PIO 3 max) and works great. I simply installed Amiga 3.1 and later AmigaOS3.9 BB4. No major issues.

depending on time and frustration.

Be prepared to be frustrated.  But be prepared for the fun you'll have learning how to get it working, and the success of getting it running right.  Sounds like a nice system, from your sig.  Good luck with it!  :)

Shame you packed it all up. Your kids would have loved growing up with Amiga computers around and having fun with Deluxe Paint, Superfrog and Deluxe Galaga/Pacman! Oh well at least you've seen sense now, but let the next generation have a go once in a while :-)

6 years ago i had kids not 16 years lol. My eldest (the 6 year old) is already asking about it.
Might have trouble keeping them off.
