Hi,

Hate to say this but pancreatic cancer is one of the worst, it is known as the silent killer, and is usually to far spread through the pancreas and the body when found, even though I hate everything he made, I wouldn't wish any harm on him, or to die like that

smerf

Yep it's pretty cruel.

Even my cat doesn\'t like me.

Well said.  I am no Apple fan/follower, but I have a respect for Jobs and all that he has accomplished.  The man has achieved great things, period.

If it wasn't for Apple, I likely wouldn't have ever gotten into computers.  While I was always an Amiga user, my first experience was with LOGO on an Apple II in grade 3 or 4 at school.

you only get one shot at life and it's very short in terms of time, so live your life doing what you think is right for you and doing what makes you truly happy and not what you think will just please others just to be thought of as a nice guy... ;)

That is so true, my friend.

I realized late last year that I had let myself be distracted for way too long, and I promised myself to spend more time doing stuff _I_ truly enjoy doing, and be way more direct and upfront with people. Since I made that decision, I've had a blast. Last winter I did more skiing than I've had for many years, I picked up old hobbies like diving, dancing and music making, been drinking more beers (craft beers ftw!) and eaten more cheeses than ever before, traveled a lot, visited parties and festivals (mostly psy-trance/goa) like I used to in the 90ies, had a wonderfull time meeting heck lots of nice people, made some good friends, and even fallen in love. Lost 25kg/55 pounds in the process (so far), and for the first time in prob more than a decade, I got a sunburn all over this summer... much to my own delight.

Thanks for the video clip, had not seen it before. Like you I have mixed feelings towards Steve Jobs, but I agree 100% with what he says there, and that's way more important than all this computer nonsense we tend to waste our time with.

@ Kolla

That Kolla is the best thing I've heard since I joined this site, I aint gonna be patronising here but I'm happy someone else has realised there is more to life than the computer nonsense we all gibber about here and some take it way too seriously for their own good... :)

While I enjoy my Amiga's they are not the most important thing in my life, if they all went up in flames sure I'd be a wee bit peeved but there are far too many other things I enjoy more in life than just computers, music being the main one and generally just talking to people and having a good laugh and and good time while doing so... :)

Paying bills, worrying about silly things like the economy or working in a job that I don't like nor enjoy are not for me and a waste of my life to let them bother me in any way, constantly meeting new people finding out about them and their life stories and doing things that I haven't tried before while all the time learning from these experiences is what makes me truly happy and of course trying to tell others I come across not waste their one shot in life on such mundane and what are really unimportant things at the end of it all... :)

I'm very happy for you and your change of lifestyle and sincerely hope it brings you true enjoyment and fulfilment in all that you do, as me auld grannie used to say "son lifes fur ra living so enjoy every minute o it while ye can, cos at ra end o ra day, yer a long time deid"... :)

That post Kolla has put a very big smile on my face, well done mate... :D

You're welcome - you have put a big smile on my face many times, I'm only happy to pay you back some! I'll let you know if I'm going to Scotland, would be fun to meet, could go out and drink some tea, or whatever it is you drink instead of beers

Don't often come across a video on YouTube where I actually say to myself "now that is really well done & neat" but this to me is just one such video where I have to say this really is very neat and well done... :)

You give way too much credit to a handfull of cosmic brownies and a lousy attempt at trying DMT. I think spending more than 50% of the time dancing hard, plenty of walking around and eating mostly vegetarian at these events have much more impact.
