psygnosis still lives with wipeoutr fusion on ps2 , and a few other titles, but yes i agree alot onwhat u said.

but then again, DRIVER and stuntman aint bad games at all and i completed all 3 of em but yes stuntman made methroew the controller a few times.

Anyway i wont say reflections is a bad team after theese 3 games, as if u look at em ...they was all groundbreaking (GTA3is a CLONE of Driver games more or less)
but then again u might dont like em, easy as that...

ProjectX is a overrated game , i have completed both versions + px2 (X2) (ps.one) and px is great but also horrible, but X2 on playstation must be the worst game i have played ever (i expected too much and got a mediocre game)

oh btw... T-ZERO is more my kinda game, not impossible , slick and have great music while playing....swiv is great, deluxe galaga is great , jim power is great , puggsy is great...etc

tony

Whats up with all the hate!

@Tronn

This is a very interesting idea. Problem is finding a sufficiently
skilled programmer willing to put down that much of his/her
time and effort just for the heck of it.

1 -  Populous II
2 - Some platform games, like Switchblade, a genre seemingly forgotten since 3D graphics came into its own.
3 - SWOS
4 - Worms, the original version
5 - Shadow of the Beast 1 and 2 - just a little less impossible to complete this time :-)

oh, and:

6 - Desert Strike.  A new shiny smooth version.  Just right for the current political climate :-)

and I don't believe anyone hasn't suggested this yet:

7 - Speedball II :-)

What we need to do is to start a programming group. You need a couple of experienced C or C++ programmers who are willing to help and guide a bunch of enthusiastic people who want to learn to program their Amiga’s but have never quite got round to it.. The experienced programmers set the lessons and exercises for the beginners to follow.

If the experienced Amiga programmers could get together and create an on-line book on how to program the Amiga, that would be great!  We need lots of example code too.  Sure Aminet has a bunch but we need it collected and organized and make it  easy to access.

Am I the only one who loved DUNGEON MASTER?!?!?  That's a game that should be re-done for the A1.

But I think the Amiga was famous for it's shoot 'em ups so I few high end shooters would be nice.

But really, I think the future of gaming is networked play and I'd love to see the Amiga go into that as well.

So why cant we make a multiple scenario/genre type game ?  Say ..5 cd's worth with vastly different, but storylined games ?

Start at space academy and progress to Elite... land and trade and get caught up in a Damocles situation... whereby you need to buy/nick a stunt car racer to blitz through all kinds of obsticles to rescue fair maid in distress whereby you take her aboard your intergalactic cruiser for some sexual gratification ...  :-o   oops .. getting carried away there!!

You get my drift ... Why stop at one style when you can interlink adventures?

aGreat thoughts, but it seems a little bit pointless in making another new 2D-version of these games. They would have to be done to 3D. Anyway, having a transparent UAE intergrated to AmigaOS would allow AmigaOne-users to play all classic Amiga-games. It's time for the future now, and we need demanding and great 3D-games :-D

Games like Jedi Knight 1-2, Soldier Of Fortune 1-2, Wolfenstein Return To The Castle and many, many more...as well as excellent applications...

Helgis - AMIGA DEFINITELY makes it all possible!!!

Pinball Fantasies!!!

I agree with SmartAlec on some of those games; if we could get some of the "Net" games such as Half-life, latest Quake / Doom and Unreal Tournament and be able to play against PC users that would assist our cause as it would demonstrate that the A1 could cut it!  I mean, aren`t these games heavily reliant on the GFX card thats plugged in rather than what processor is running the show?

But why would anyone change to Amiga Compatible computers if the games available are only ports from the platform that they already have ?

No ...

Something original .. A new way to play games...

Its all about gameplay..

That why I mentioned the interlinked gaming concept
