Amiga forever not seeing a real amiga Hard Drive.
« on: April 18, 2006, 08:27:52 AM »
Amiga Forever 2005 runs ok on a PC using Widows XP, however its a bit hit & miss when seeing real Amiga drives. I thought I had the system beat by putting in the CD & booting the PC as a amiga. This has now stopped working. The Win Uae just wll not recognise a real amiga even one just removed off a machine. Im not sure where the problem is, with UAE or on the XP side. Any suggestions hint pointers apprecited.

You have to add the harddrive to WinUAE's config using the "Add Harddrive" option.

If the HDD does not appear in the "Add Harddrives" menu, run WinUAE with the -disableharddrivesafetycheck command line switch. But be careful not to add the Windows HDD to the config !

Bye,
Thomas

I have unticked the disable UAEFSDB support, This has made no difference. How do I run WinUAE with the -disableharddrivesafetycheck command line switch.

I just double click on win UAE in the menu box, how do I run it with out the menu box?
