Is that real? Amazing.
I'm pretty sure that the next one, with more time available (how about 6 or 8 months), and with prizes like:
* Jon Hare's 1200
* Dinner with Cammy :)

The latter could be a seriously expensive prize if the winner is from a long way outside Oz :-)

Hi everyone,

Thank you all for the great response! We would gladly accept any donated prizes for the next competition, developers and non-developers alike. :) It would really help encourage more involvement in the next competition, I hope as well as boost people's spirits so they will be more motivated to work on games.

If anyone has a serious offer about prizes for the competition, please send me a private message. Thanks! :)

Wow Cammy! Pretty girls who love Amiga's are just what this site needs. Would any others please come forward ;)

@ Karlos

Whatever happened to your work colleague Mel_Zoom who created quite a stir with her new user introduction thread? I think it had over 5000 views in a couple of days  :)

Thanks A4000 Mad, but I'm not too sure everyone is happy about me being here. Some guys have come to treat Amiga forums as their exclusive "boy's club" and don't seem to like it when women post here and on the other Amiga forums.

Also, I wanted to ask all you guys who have costumes something. I've been working on a new game for AGA Amigas called Halloween Nightmare. It's based in modern times on Halloween night, and lots of characters you meet are people in costumes. Would any of you like to guest-star in the game, in a pixellated-animated form? Your image would be drawn in anime style but based on how you look in your costume. Perhaps you could be a character who answers the door and gives out candy, or someone you meet in the park who gives you a clue. A few other Amiga users have already volunteered to be in the game too.

So, what do you guys think?

In a word, the recession happened. The place is rather a lot smaller nowadays. Last I remember she was off to conquer C/C++ :)

Maybe if Cammy has a laptop or netbook with a camera the dinner date with her could be virtual using Skype's video calling, or something similar?  Her boyfriend would probably prefer the date to be virtual instead of in person too!

As for anyone resenting, or not liking women to post on any Amiga forum sites, just point them out Cammy and the rest of us who like you will take care of them for you.  :lol:  I think most people here really appreciate you and would love to have a dozen more Amiga users just like you here.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Fun little cars, I liked mine except for the whole sun thing.  Switched over to an RX8, it's like driving a video game.

How about posting the rules for the next competition early so those of us who can only spare a little bit of time each week can enter?   That would be great.  I wanted to enter this one, but it was just too little time.

Thanks!

I guess you must have missed it, but we already started a thread about the next competition already. You can find the rules here - http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=51375

I'm sorry if it's not enough time.

I think they feel threatened by your ability to give them a roundhouse to the left temple.

Me I'd luv to have my mug on an amiga game. And you wouldn't have to change much to have it fit in with the halloween nigntmare theme.!

@ Cammy,
 I am really glad to see some one here has sparked something like this competition! Great going! I hope this programming idea grows. I may even dust off my programming "skills" (such as they are) and jump in down the road.

ps - There are some of us (old boys) who really think women are our equal.
