desperatly seeking speedball
« on: April 26, 2004, 02:15:31 PM »
Hi Amigans

I'm looking for a way, ANY WAY, to play speedball2 on my barebones A4040 system.

I'm hosting a PARTY next week to celebrate my new flat & my old job (I got fired, calls 4 celebration) and I promised my pals that there would be a speedball2 competition, but can't find my disks ! It *has* to be said that it was NOT the original disks, because yes, I did NOT bought it. But hey, I bought nearly ALL B.Brothers games (Z, Chaos, you name it) and heck, If I had a euro for all the amiga games I bought I'd be... Well, not so rich, but come on.

So where to go from here ? If someone points me towards a LEGAL way to PURCHASE the darn thing, I'll hapilly fork out the money, but please, keep it cheap.

I'm thanking everybody here in advance, plase accept my red&white checkered thanks !

pX (Amigan since, hey, good question, I can't recall)

Yes, but as you don't own the game, that is illegal. You also need to transfer it back to a disk to make it work on your Amiga.

From A.Org's posting guidelines:

"Cardinal Rules"

...

"Do not post links or requests for warez.
Warez in our definition is illegal software up to and including "abandonware". The exception is if the person is KNOWN to have the legal right to distribute said software. This is not debatable."

@xaccrocheur:

Whilst I agree about abandonware having to be freely downloadable it doesn't matter what you or I think. It's a.org who makes the rules in this case.
