WinUAE and HDF files
« on: March 15, 2006, 07:48:35 AM »
Hi,

I have a bit of a problem, I have a HDF version of Zany Golf.

How do I load HDF files Through WinUAE?

They are not accesable form within my OS3.9 setup as it does
not recognise the file type, and i have tried mouting them
as a HDD but that does not seem to work, or am i doing something wrong.

Any help would be much appraciated.

Go to the Harddrives page, click on "Add Hardfile", choose your HDF and click on Ok. Check that the file appears in the list. If the emulation was already running, click on Reset, otherwise on Ok to start it.

Edit: one more hint: move the line up in the list until all hardfiles are on the top of the list, no directories between or above them. Otherwise at least HDToolbox won't recognise them.

Bye,
Thomas

Hi,

Thanks, I had everything setup right, just wasn't reseting the emulator.

once i got the HDF drive on, i created a folder with the same name in one of my drives, and copied all the contents across, and ran it from there, removing the HDF from the emulator afterwords, and it worked fine. Thanks.
