Title: Aros Hardware

What do you think is the best configuration for an Aros desktop?
I would like to build a machine like the Imica.
Maybe someone could help me fill in the blanks.

1. Mini-itx


2.uATX


3. Atx


4. Notebook. (x86,ppc,arm)


5. Tablet  (arm)


6. Ipod like (arm)


7. Phone. (arm)

I don't understand the question. At first you say you're looking for the best desktop configuration, but your list includes tablets and phones. Would you consider buying an iMica instead of building one like it?

I wish I had the money to buy a complete Imica or get a parts list and then go from there.

@trekiej

ARM support only runs on ARM Linux hosted at this point.  I'd consider staying with the x86 for AROS for now if I were you.  A used ATX form factor motherboard will probably run the cheapest of anything other than a MiniITX Atom like the iMica.

I see. I did not know it was not yet ported.
I have seen ATX/uATX boards for ~50 dollars.
I do not know if Steve still has his Imica hardware listed anymore.
As far as I can tell he does not sell them any more.
Amazon.com has all the parts, I bet.

Has there ever been a Video Player Poll?
I would want to who used what hardware.
Desktop,Laptop,Tablet,Ipod style, Phone, and game console.
Media player like Roku and Boxee.
