Amiga One ATX Case Design
« on: October 23, 2002, 04:37:13 AM »
I'm looking for a aesthetically pleasing (cool looking)  case to put my AmigaOne in.  I figure I'm gonna buy a few things to get ready for the release so I can get it all up and running as soon as possible.

I found a site called www.koolcases.com that has some pretty neat stuff, but I thought I'd just see if anyone else knows of some place that sells some interesting cases.  It would be nice to find something a little out of the ordinary...something a little more unique than the average atx case...After all this is an Amiga.

I would like to get an AmigaONE board, but I need to get some sort of money to even get one!  :-D I was thinking them Alienware cases looked really fancy, but I dont know if the board will fit in one properly.  As long as a case fits your board just right, get it!  :-)

Mr. Hardware Computers has some interesting cases, and they're even an Amiga dealer to boot.

Well,

For the peeps in the UK, there's a good selection of good sites out there.  Try coolcasemods.com for size.  I'm just prettying up my peecee after having almost 10 years of a boring beige box in the corner of the room.  Anyone else have any good uk case-modding sites?  Itd be cool to see an A1 set up in a pretty case when the time finally comes.

Hey, you're the guys who make those A500/A1200-like PCs - are you planning on doing something similar with A1 motherboards?

I'm looking into ATX cases & modifying

main mod will be adding a 2nd switch in series to the reset/power switches on the front so my 2 year old son can't turn off/reset the machine halfway thru anything  :-o , at the moment there are couple of smarties caps sellotaped over this machines buttons...

I take it the buttons on the front r momentary so I can just use a momentary double pole button on the rear.  So u gotta press both (rear+reset or rear+power) together...

...anyone know? so I don't have to ask at the maplins counter... I swear smug must be a requirement to get employed there  :-D

The Xaser II cases are different looking, if a little pricey.

A Web-search, using 'Xaser II' turns up plenty of dealers.
