Amiga Classix Diamond Edition - for download
« on: July 11, 2009, 09:22:10 AM »
As I was browsing Competition Pro USB Joystick vendor's site, I encountered the gaming bundle file under the product's support page.

Seems a free software then.  Enjoy.
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

You can extract the games from the executable with 7-Zip. I haven't tried this with the Amiga version, but it should work, in theory...

7-Zip WTF?!?  lol  Never heard of that before today, thanks!

Downloaded 3 different (foreign to me) 7zip archivers for MacOSX and none of them knew what to do with an .exe file. It's drag and drop, but still. Guess I'll try the Amiga version next. Hmm... *if* the Amiga version of this program (I found it on Aminet) can extract the .exe file, what kinda of file types to expect next? lol

I've installed this software to a PeeCee.  The setup.exe places the adf files on your hard drive but they aren't labeled in a way that makes it easy to find out which game is which.  Overall, I don't recall any real "gems" that I didn't already have or could have found elsewhere....
