Title: Printing with Amiga Forever
Post by: a3000 on October 12, 2005, 11:21:42 PM
Hi I am using AF from Cloanto but haven't been able to get the printing from the Amiga side over to the PC side & to the printer. I have read the faq sections but that doesn't seem to work. The printer is a dot matrix panasonic. Any suggestions. thks

I have the same problem.. AF can "see" the printer ,the printer "see" the request , --------------- then just sits there ----------- waiting :pissed: . Funny thing is it starts to print after I exit AF ................ Odd    :-?   My Printer is a Lexmark X427D (Scan/Copy/Fax)

I don't use AF, only WinUAE... however...
In WinUAE there's a program to be launched from the Amiga side called WinXPPrintHelper.  This solved the printing problems I had with my Canon printer (ie, it printed with the emulation running, *not* after I had quit).  Does AF have a similar/identical program?

Under WinUAE it's under (in the PC install drawer):

/Amiga Programs/winxpprinthelper

(and there's also an Amiga .info file to go with this too (cos it can be copied to WBStartup drawer if you wanted).

Hi I have looked from the PC side & can't find a install draw anywhere. WinUae would have been installed when A/Forever was intsalled. Soory to be so dense, any directions appreciated.
