Alright guys and girls:
A platform game, published by or made by Roland..
I think it was a typical 2 player game, it had a boy with blue hair and a girl with pink hair... They could make yellow latters to come from one platform above/under to another, the essence was to shoot little cute animals, when all animals were dead, you'd advance one level. You had to collect the letters E-X-T-R-A to get extra lives..
And I just can't remember it's name, it's right on my tounge so to speak..
Can you help me out here please?

Do you mean "Rainbow Island(s?)"?

And it wasn't pang either though it had the blue and pink boys :)

Sounds almost like you're describing the game "Rodland" but I don't recall them making ladders (been a LONG time since I played the game).
[Edited]
Addendum: Here is a fansite for the game, lots of pictures, take a look and see if it's your culprit:

THis is one of the most playable games of this type on the Amiga.I love it...........Just wish I had an NTSC version as I have a PAL one.

A very addictive game :-D

It is one of my favourites...and my sister's too.
@ Leirbag: if you WHDload it, can you then use any version you like?

Point of interest - WHDLoad couldn't install my version of Rodland (it was double packed with Double Dragon III). If you put the disk in on WorkBench it would appear to be empty. WHDLoad showed no errors while reading the disk and installing it, but when it wouldn't run. I can't actually remember what happened, but it just stopped.
So, the answer is probably no :-(
Unless I'm being my usual blind self and missing something :-)

@ Vincent
My version of Rodland DOES install. It is not part of a compendium.
I'll try to see what version it is.
