Here's a rather interesting article on the perception of females in computer games. I for one agree wholeheartedly with the writer. Whenever I play a game and a female character is presented as 90% breast and 1% brain it ticks me off instantly.

Any other opinions on this?

And what about the male characters then, aren't quite a lot of them the lone-wolf, steroid-muscles-like-schwarzenegger, no-mercy-badass-attitude kind of guys? ;-)

I'd say that this stereotype perception in actiongames (and movies) is unisex, but in different ways.
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)

As opposed to the 1% brain and 90% moodswings found in normal women? :-)

But seriously, you forget who the target audience for these games is: geeky unpopular teenage males who haven't discovered that females actually think too. (I believe they think, I just don't have any conclusive evidence of it ;-))

Well, anyway I'm living proof that Lara Croft-alikes don't make men sexist and mysogenistic. I was there years ago. :-D

Proof that women think? I don't have a girlfriend. I'm so good at dissing myself.

Well ... I like tomb Raider style games !!

Not because Lara has the boobs of Jorden and the torso of a wasp ( The bitch) but the gameplay itself...   i couldn't care less if it was Sydney Croft !!

My Daughter ( Melissa ) Grew up on "White - Man ( Prince of Persia) and plays GTA III now.
