Project Metropolis
« on: March 14, 2011, 11:36:33 PM »
In the past DiscreetFX has been kind of sad since we did not have our own super secret project. Well today that changes, we can finally mention we have started work on Project Metropolis. It is still a few months away from launch but we just can't keep our mouth closed any longer.

What the hell is Project Metropolis you ask? Even Chinese Water torture will not make us tell. It’s still a uber secret project after all. If you are able to guess what it is before it comes out we will give you one of our products for free.

I have said too much, I will say no more!

Now that you mentioned it anyway, it's time to don me Sherlock Holmes deerstalker and get to the bottom of this mystery... :)

You've just thrown half the stuff I'm doing now right out the window, cos me being such a nosy bugger I'll have to find out or I won't get any sleep or anything else done... :(

hmm...the movie plot for Metropolis sounds very amigalike:
"society is divided into two classes: one of planners and management, who live high up in luxurious skyscrapers and one of workers, who live and toil underground."

Perhaps we should begin our hunt with those who are underground?

Hmmm... so far I can only link Metropolis to LuxRender and some sort of light transport thingy wotsit so it's gotta be something along the lines of a rendering program or something to do with Aladdin4D...

Time for some musical inspiration... :)

I think something to do with Aladdin4D. Can't think of anything else that hasn't already been said.

Probably way off but i'm guessing porting a new version of Alladin4D to other platforms like Morpthos or osx so obviously you have to give it a fancyful name :)

P.S. Why doesn't DiscreetFx have a wikipedia page?

I hope your project "Metropolis" is great, but I also hope that we don't have to wait for 1 to 2 years with little to no information about the project, or the project itself being released in that time frame.

Please no games that drag on for months trying to tease up interest.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Why do I get the feeling it will end up looking like the "Marilyn Monroe" android Lister made for Kryten in Red Dwarf.  :D
