Hi, Amigos,
I installed Debian on my A1-SE and the mouse does not seem to work... in fact, under a certain
configuration it blocks the keyboard!! :-? Incredible, I know.
The mouse is a Safeway 700 DPI model, 3 buttons, no wheel and no optical. It's connected to the
PS/2 mouse port.
Any ideas?
Thanks! :-)

Which mouse type did you select when installing Debian?
Does the same mouse work in another computer?

Best place for help is the official A1 owners forum at amigaworld.net. Your dealer should have signed you up for it.
Tell your dealer your amigaworld nick and ask him to sign you up to the A1 Owners forum if he hasn't

In XF86Config I experimented with drivers /dev/psaux, /dev/mouse, /dev/input/mice (or something) and protocols IMPS/2, PS/2, Auto . I gave up because if the keyboard freezes at logon I have to reset from the switch and the startup performs a disk check - two of those times I got a number of problems on the partition...
It occurred to me too that the mouse might be faulty, but I forgot to bring it to wok today and test it. But I will.

[In XF86Config...]
Oops, I meant XF86Config-4.

Thanks, I'll try that too. :-)

I tried the mouse on a Pea Sea. It works without a problem. So, it seems to be something funny with the drivers. Any idea?
I sent a mail to my dealer too, to register me at amigaworld.net.
Thanks again. :-)
