Gateway had combined 8000 unsold PC on its 272 retail shops to form a MetaGrid supercomputer using Parallel processing technology from United Devices.
They plan to offer commercial service using the 2nd most powerful SuperComputer in the world.
Imagine what happen if Gateway did not sell Amiga name. Will Amiga machines become part of the grid? :-)
