Simply, I want one but have yet to find a dealer thats got one in stock! Anyone know where I can get one?
-
Software Hut (http://www.softhut.com) are expecting some soon. You might also check CompuQuick (http://www.compuquick-amigadirect.com).
-
Try this for size (https://www.pegasosppc.com/store.php) :-)

Man if only :Amiga OS 4 ran on one of those cheap 1Ghz Open Desk workstations, then it would be portable and priced resonably.

MorphOS is very good, runs more apps than OS4 does too.

But it don't got the name, init!

You guys are fully OT
-
Lets not get in that debate again. There is no denying
that many apps and programs have been developed for
MorphOS, but development on OS4 has also been fairly
healthly. Just to flat out say that MorphOS has more
than OS4 is not a very constructive statement. As far as
the AmigaOne availabilty, I also recommend checking with
Software Hut.

I said it runs more, not it has more.
OS4 native and MOS native apps are probably about the same in number.
MOS runs all system friendly legacy apps, as yet OS4 doesn't.

@mdma
As of update 3 yes it does. All that's missing now is some printer drivers and the Petunia JIT compiler.
-
Revanche LLC (http://revanchellc.com/cgi-bin/mivavm?Merchant2/merchant.mvc+Screen=PROD&Store_Code=REV&Product_Code=uA1-s1&Category_Code=NG) is a very reliable dealer. they are very busy, but they will not rip you off. if i had the money this is where I'd get a µA1
-
MorphOS runs more apps
and its users troll more too ;-)
SCNR :-D
@ zx6r6
Go to AmigaWorld.net (http://www.amigaworld.net) to find a list of all A1 resellers (on the list on the right)

All that's missing is PowerUP, a stable implementation of WarpOS, and MOSEMU.
Other than that, yeah sure, OS4 currently supports more software than MorphOS.
To the original poster, if you want to run as many apps as possible and need to do it now then get a Pegasos-II. If like me you are more than happy to wait for OS4 to be feature complete and bug free, then don't get a Pegasos-II.

Edited by admin: linking to large external images not allowed. This one was 71k
The thread is about where to find an A1..

Which aren't currently available. Hence my advice of an alternative product which *is* available.
And I think you'll find your post contravenes the site posting guidelines "Mr 32 post-er".
Now feckoff back to BAFLand if you don't like it here.
-
I guess its all dependant on what you want.
You state in your original post, that you want an Amiga One. Not a Pegasos II, or any other PC/Computer/Amiga/Clone for that matter. So im guessing you dont want anything else, so ....
Id say, speak to someone local to you that has purhcased an amigaone. Find out the dealer, then you should save on shipping also (if its "local" to you).
Cheers

STFU, troll.

Guys?
I don't see anything remotely trolly about mdma's post, unless you don't take the time to actually read it. While a bit sarcastic, it simply suggests that OS4 does need a few things to make it complete. Considering it isn't actually released, I think we ALL could agree that it obviously needs a few things to make it complete (if we're honest).
He even suggested (in a backhanded way) to wait for OS4 to be released if you want long-term benefits.
Whether or not you agree with what MDMA thinks is "needed" isn't really the point, but it's not trolling per se. You're just treating it that way.
Everyone needs to take a deep breath, to slow down when reading things, and to throw out their worthless certificates from that Evelyn Woods speed-reading course a few years ago.

i think/hope (after all these blatant comments) that the original poster will decide to purchase a Mac now!

"Now feckoff back to BAFLand if you don't like it here."
mdma: Excuse me, BAF?
I don't know which planet your from but I suppose you've heard
of Pegasos.org (http://www.pegasos.org), right? I happen to be Chief Editor there..
I am just sick and tired of every single thread getting off topic
to either Pegasos or AmigaONE. If there's a question about the
Pegasos, the Red followers comes along. If the question is about
AmigaONE the Blue people jumps in.
Do you people know anything else besides trolling, fighting
and destroying threads?
He asked for an AmigaONE, can you guys respect that? I'm sure
he's very well aware of the alternative platform.
This community really is hopeless.

Well excuse me for not immediately being impressed by your apparently famous name.
Red/Blue? I'm of the black (http://aros-exec.org) flavour. So I can hardly be called a blue troll.
You keep thinking in black and white and I'll get on with being a grown up.
