So far I'm still in this category. We'll see if I can last it out.  :-?

It's sad to see that some of you now want to cancel order. I have been thinking very much about the same thing, too. The Amiga companies are really doing their best, but i agree that it has taken too much times. The new Amiga system is a complex beast and it needs to become as perfect as possible, especially when considering that this is the first production run...

As for who actually made the Teron CX/PX PPC-motherboards. That was actually Mai Logic, who developed the boards in order to test their PPC-controllers like Articia and Magicia-family. I can safely tell you that they will soon make a new revision of the Teron CX/PX with Articia P, and hand this new revision architecture to Eyetech so that the Amiga community can make sure that the new version will work also. We'll have to take one day at the time...

Will you people quit it with this useless whining!!! :evil:

Amiga OS 4 will come when it's ready and the AmigaOne will be shipped when Eyetech will receive it.

What! Your old Amiga not good enough anymore?

PC? What! You still don't have an over 1GHz, GeForce 4 system. That's your own fault really isn't it.

I for one don't care if it arrives next week or in august! Programming takes a long time so just wait.

And if you still don't have a modern PC than thats your own stupidity.

@PulsatingQuasar

Hear-hear!

I learn't along time ago that whining gets you nowhere, and also gets on other peoples nerves (normally from a back hand off my father!)

I have my A1200 with BlizzPPC and my 1.4GHz Athlon that do me fine. I am quite happy to wait for OS4 to turn up when it does. Though I do think that it will need to be out in the first half of this year to minamise damage.

I have £1000 sitting in the bank, waiting for my 10 year dream of a new amiga.
Do you suggest I spend it on a modern PC and leave the scene?
Or, should I continue to wait and hope *and* occassionally (and I'm sure most that know me would agree that it *is* only occassionally) have a bit of a whinge about the delays?

Also, do you really think I'm stupid because I don't (and probably never will) own a modern PC? (Although I may buy a mac)

Please calm down, people. We own the companies to wait. We should be proud...

So far, I have to disagree. I still have faith in Eyetech and Hyperion but we have nothing to be proud of.

Yet. ;-)

@redrumloa

They've got a ranking system? Cool! Are you sure you're not confusing this with the recent "top 10 reasons to why we like Amiga Inc" thread? :D

Anyway, congratulations to the first place! Here, have a prize:

Have the odd whinge like a most of us do who are waiting....
I was gonna cancel my A1 order saturday morning as that was the limit of my waiting. The girlfriend for months was the one saying "New Amiga... Flying Pig". However, saturday morning came and she who does not beleive in the Amiga Fairy talked me out of it.

So I cancelled the RAM @ eyetech prices that was nearly £200 for 1GIG.

So for the £200 the PC got a 40GiG HD, 512Meg DDR,  ATI 9100 128MB, New Case (Transparent side) + Round ATA100 Cables.

I got the 2 sticks of PC133 and the 30Gig HD out the PC to use in my A1.

Moderns PC's (Win2K) arn't that bad. Admittidly I use the girlies PC more than I should as for the MAC option, have you seen the prices of them. Admittidly i've only looked at them in PCWorld but £1800 for a G4 800Mhz Lamp Stand is a bit much.

Plus if the worst comes to the worst and OS4 never turns up you can use MOL on your A1 so you can still have a MAC.
