I propose a change to the rankings as follows:

Merely Curious
0 to 20

Beginner
21 to 50

Hobbyist
51 to 70

Technoid   (used to be Too Much caffeine)
71 to 200

Too Much Caffeine (used to be Technoid)
201 to 500

*insert new rank here* (used to be Cult member)
501 to 1000

*insert new rank here* (used to be Defender of the Faith)
1001 to 2000

I'm up to 400+ but I don't really FEEL like a technoid.  That would be better at 1001+ or 2001+ :ponder:

Above 14000, "As One With The Machine" or "Man-Machine" or something aproximating sounds good.
Amiga 3000D UP and running! Hear that clicking. 8)
Amiga 3000D & 4000D in storage sadly.

I never bothered to do the maths before. That's quite astonishing :-o

Still, I consider myself way behind KennyR in terms of posting frequency. I was still well behind him months after he left.

We already have that: Guru Meditator.
But we do need more ranks, because there are many dudes (and two dudettes) who have posted a few thousand posts.

I dont think we should modify the existing ranks, people get used to them and many could get demoted. Adding newer ones at the high end is the way forward in my opinion ;-)

30,000+ posts -> For God's sake, get a job...

LOL

The only problem will be a mild embarrasment when Blobzie also reaches 9023 posts  :-P

I think we all know where the top ranking should be:

68000+

I have an idea.

I'll just zero out everyone's post counts and let you all fight it out to get back to where you are now  :)

I say we treat this like a video game. You know, when you get the top score, the counter resets to zero.
Therefore in the spirit of all good 80s arcade games, we should hereby reset all Guru Meditators to zero, then introduce the new ranking system.

If you do that, you have to have a counter for the number of "resets" - so you no longer have the goal of how many posts you make, but how many times you can make it reset to 0.

This is getting silly now...
