I want to use my psxpad adapter with wipeout, but apparently i need V1.2 of wipeout. where can I get this? Also has anyone managed to get the psxport joystick emulation working so i can chuck my cheetah `stick?
One more thing bout wipeout- I have a weird problem in that my computer hangs if it plays any of the MPEGS in the game. This never used to happen, and I can play them fine in AMP. Any ideas?

I posted a thread looking for the psxport WipeOut myself months ago, but no-one replied. I hope you have more luck.
You can use the lowlevel.lib patch that comes with the psxport software to let you use a psx joypad with 1.0, but no analogue. :-(
As for the mpegs - I have no idea. Maybe they got corrupted. Try deleting them and copying them back from the WipeOut CD.

Huh? WipeOut 1.2? Did I miss an update?
-
Everyone missed the update. Blittersoft allegedly had a version of Wipeout with psxport support added, they dropped Amiga support almost at the same time, and the update never reached the public.

Perhaps emailing one the authors might help?

why use a psx adaptor wht don't work with all the games if you can use one of those nice joysticks?

Wipeout worked fine with my PSX port addaptor.
Wipeout supports CD32 joypad.
The software that came with your PSXPort allows you to use your psx controller with any game that supports cd32 joypads.
I know its not analouge support but it still allows you to use it in wipeout, gloom deluxe many others etc.
As for the Mpegs.
CGFX V4 / Latest Warp 3D / WarpOS sorted out my problems.
There are some updates on the CD is you are using old versions.

Perhaps emailing one the authors might help?
I tried mailing the author of the PSXPort software, who said he did the PSXPort version of WipeOut 2097 for Blittersoft (sorry, don't have a name since I'm not at home and can't look at my mailbox). He said that Blittersoft had the update.
I mailed Blittersoft and they kindly ignored me, having got rid of everything remotely Amiga on their site in the same way I'd get rid of ants on my arse. This was a year ago or so, so the chances of getting the update are nil, unless someone has it on HD and is kind enough to upload it somewhere.
