Hey guys,
Just a heads up to let you know, that we know, that you know that the links directory is currently experiencing hiccups with file permissions.
Looks like I may have to wipe the module and start over, but hey, at least we'll have backups...
Thanks for your patience.

Is it the bit that grabs the thumbnail and saves it off not being able to write to disk?

Nope, feel free to try it, but every function seems to say "permission denied", even if I -- as a test -- set it to 777.

I *believe* we've got it worked out now, except for the search engine friendly URL's option.
The problem -- as it turns out -- was a hosting issue involving mod_security at the php level.
The SEO friendly issue may be one of a mod_rewrite problem.

Hmm, I seem to get 404 errors when trying to view the details of a sumbitted link. For instance http://www.amiga.org/links/amiga-software-links-7/hyperion-entertainment-85/ (http://www.amiga.org/links/amiga-software-links-7/hyperion-entertainment-85/)

"That's because he doesn't like you.. I don't like you either.." :)
Seriously, I needed to grab a URL for the tech guys, so turned SEO friendly back on for 30 seconds. Should be off, and working now.
