Sorry, but I can't see anything to drool over. But I bet the problem is in me.
-
Well i liked it! no need to be so negative.
-
I like it :-)
-
nice eye candy.
-
Looks good to me! But..like we all know, an 8 colour MagicWB Workbench is the top of GUI design ;-).
-
I'm afraid I'm inclined to agree with Piru. But then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say, so who cares. As long as *you* like it :-)

Don't be such a stick-in-the-mud Piru! That looks pretty cool :-)
-
I think it looks cool too. Nicer to look at then my WinXP screen.
-
Can't one have his/her own opinion anymore?
-
Sure you can! but this "But I bet the problem is in me" sounds a bit silly to me.
-
Well, since most appear to like it, it must be just my taste?
-
I clicked on the message link to this thread and saw this picture (http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=1131=30) as "random photo".
Now THAT'S what I call "Something to drool over"
-
It looks good..
I would still rather see some work on getting software and drivers though. This eyecandy will not make aros any more usable and i think the team should rather focus on the much more important thing of actually making it usable for the average user.
-
Maybe the guy making the eyecandy dosent have the skills to do that? maybe this is what he knows something about and more important wants to do?.

Don't take my comment personally, I was just poking you with a stick. GUI skins like this do not really add to functionality and so therefore are not going to appeal to everyone. I think it's really good (but then I like MacOS X), it reminds me of those touch pannels you seen in StarTrek TNG :-)
-Edit- Perhaps what is worth drooling over is the fact that AROS finally got skinning something which MOS has had for years and AOS4 also has.
-
Nice.
Here are a few more, though I seem to recall seeing some that are not listed here.

That is true i guess.. But like i said, i do appreciate good eyecandy, but just think that there are more important issues to solve first.
I myself am looking forward to the day i can actually use it for something other than playing around with. So far the only real application for me seems to be a painting program and a irc client and a couple of game ports.
-
There is a few more =) not everything is on the ISO or File area! + there is some stuff beeing worked on but sure more software is a must.
-
haha, piru is too subtle apparantly ;-)
-
:)

I'm not a fan of the actual style itself so much but AROS is clearly making steady progress (yes, I do lurk on aros exec and what not). I've got to have something to run on these older PC's kicking around here other than stripped down Win2K installs or whatever linux distro is flavour of the month ;-)

-
I'm with Piru. To me, it says "MacOSXP".
-
Can't say I was that fussed.
