Title: How Sweet, BeOS Clone/Winblows Clone Unity!
Post by: XDelusion on February 22, 2012, 01:40:48 AM
http://mobile.osnews.com/story.php/25632/ReactOS-gets-USB-stack-with-Haikus-help/

Seeing as this is in relation to a homebrew and free clone of Windows, and not Microsloth itself, this actually makes me smile!!!

Wonderful! :) I've been watching ReactOS for a while now...I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it to get out of alpha, but if it ever does get to a really usable state it'd be an absolute godsend for me...

This is most awesome.  This is kind of why a lot of people had simply thought it'd be great to use the Linux Kernel as a base for new hobby Operating Systems, simply because it already has awesome hardware support.  Fortunately Linux is Open Source, and almost all of it's drivers are as well, so that helps out the smaller guys a lot.

It'd be great if these two Operating Systems could help out AROS with it's drivers as well and vice versa.

Neither is AROS, if that is what you are implying. ;)

Based on the post he was replying to I assume it wasn't aimed at the AROS part of the post.

I would assume he was replying to this.  Could be wrong tho.

If only we could get this kind of cooperation between makers of more disparate operating systems like say MOS and OS4....

Quite. I'm not laboring under the illusion that a reimplementation of AOS3.1 is in any way Linux-based ;)
